Zoho CRM now part of Plugin

Starting today with version 3.2.10, we have migrated the Zoho CRM Integration to the WP Plugin.

Zoho CRM WooCommerce

Why the migration?

As some of you have experienced, the Zoho SDK provided by Zoho was quite unstable and broke the connection a few times a month unexpectedly and without providing useful error messages. We even had several calls with the Zoho engineers to sort this out, as we thought it was our fault. It turned out, the SDK is far from maturity and has deep architectural errors that could not be resolved by the Zoho team.

For these reasons, we decided to create our own PHP SDK, one unified modern SDK that is also used by the Zoho Inventory integration recently. This is a lightweight SDK built upon the latest WordPress Coding Standards and WooCommerce best practices for integrations. Its the most powerful piece of software we have built so far.

Some benefits of our in-house PHP SDK (Sync Engine):

  • Uses 72% less memory than the official SDK
  • Error logging is based on native WP Error for better traceability and debugging
  • 3x Faster!
  • Highly flexible; allows us to quickly build new features for the Sync

Now & Future:

At this moment, we have migrated the Order Sync with Tax Mapping to the plugin. In addition, we have also added Custom Fields mapping for Orders.

Soon we will also ensure that Product and Customer changes are pushed to Zoho CRM automatically in the background, as well as:

  • Custom Modules Mapping
  • Custom Fields Mapping for Products and Customers
  • Bi-directional Sync of Products and Customers (enable with single click)
  • Order Status Mapping
  • And much more!

Above features will not be necessarily built in that order. We will update you soon on each feature!

Please read the documentation here on how to use the Integration via the plugin.
