CommerceBird Wallet Pass for Tickera Is Now Live on WordPress.org

Your attendees shouldn’t have to dig through their inbox to find their ticket. Now they don’t have to.

We’re thrilled to announce that CommerceBird – Wallet Pass for Tickera is officially available on the WordPress.org plugin directory. Starting today, any event organiser running Tickera on WooCommerce can automatically deliver Apple Wallet and Android Wallet passes to their attendees — right after checkout, no friction, no extra steps.

The Problem It Solves

Anyone who’s run an event knows the scenario: an attendee arrives at the door, can’t find their confirmation email, fumbles through their phone for two minutes while the queue builds behind them. It’s not a great experience for anyone.

Digital wallet passes fix this entirely. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes sit on the home screen, surface automatically when you’re near the venue, and don’t require an internet connection to display. They’re how modern event ticketing should work — and until now, getting them integrated with a self-hosted WordPress + Tickera setup required serious custom development.

That changes today.

What the Plugin Does

CommerceBird – Wallet Pass for Tickera is a lightweight add-on that connects your Tickera-powered WooCommerce store to the CommerceBird platform. When an attendee completes a ticket purchase, the plugin automatically generates a branded digital pass and delivers it in two places:

  • The Thank You page — a download link appears immediately after checkout
  • The order confirmation email — so attendees can add it to their wallet any time

Passes are generated server-side via the CommerceBird API, saved to your WordPress media library, and automatically cleaned up once the event has concluded or been cancelled. No pass files linger indefinitely, and no personal attendee data is sent to external servers during generation.

Key Features

Apple Wallet & Android Wallet — Full support for both iPhone (Apple Wallet) and Android (Google Wallet) devices, covering the overwhelming majority of your audience.

Tickera-native integration — Works directly inside the Tickera + WooCommerce ticket flow. No middleware, no custom hooks to write. Install, configure, done.

Instant delivery — Passes are generated and made available the moment an order is completed. Attendees don’t wait for a separate email or a manual export.

Configurable pass styling — Customise the appearance of your passes directly from Tickera > Settings > Apple Wallet Pass — logo, colours, and event details all pull through automatically.

Simple setup — The installation takes roughly five minutes. Connect your CommerceBird account, drop in your credentials, and every new ticket order from that point on will include wallet pass delivery.

Automatic cleanup — Generated passes are tied to their event. When the event is cancelled or has taken place, the associated pass files are removed from your media library automatically.

Tickera Is Now Featuring CommerceBird in Their Official Documentation

One of the highlights of this launch is that Tickera — one of the most established self-hosted event ticketing platforms for WordPress, with over 365,000 downloads since 2012 — has officially documented CommerceBird Wallet Pass in their documentation.

Their team published a dedicated documentation page covering exactly how attendees receive wallet passes, how the plugin integrates with Tickera’s ticket flow, and where to find the installation guide.

You can read it here:

Having Tickera reference CommerceBird directly in their official docs is a meaningful endorsement. It signals that wallet pass delivery is now a first-class feature of the Tickera ecosystem — and that CommerceBird is the recommended path to get there.

Full step-by-step instructions are available on the plugin’s WordPress.org installation tab and in the Tickera documentation.

What’s Next

This is version 1.0.1 — the foundation. We’re already working on deeper pass customisation options, additional trigger points for pass delivery, and expanded compatibility. If you have a feature request or run into anything, the support forum on WordPress.org is the best place to reach us.

Thank you to the Tickera team for their early support and for featuring this integration in their documentation. We’re excited to see what event organisers build with it.
